Well, I suppose now that the new year has started, it’s time to start working on a few things which will help me back into the swing of things. I know that I should always keep a list of things I want to do and what I should do. So here’s the list.

1. Learn Korean, improve my Japanese, improve my Chinese. (My BA is in Linguistics.)

2. Revamp my personal site and start having a few different CSS files to throw in there on a rotating basis. I should get much much better with CSS as that is rather important along the way to ensure that I get better as a programmer.

3. Get ahead of and stay ahead of the curve technologically so I can find the places to make my niche and then exploit those capabilities. I’m a web designer and I think I’m going to stay a web designer/developer for a while, so it’s best to keep ahead of the trends.

4. Get a few certifications. Linux+, A+, CEH, and anything web oriented that I can get away with.

5. Study more about theology so I can start sketching out one of my books this year and start working on it more diligently. I’m already reading Barrie’s How Jesus Became Christian I also want to spend some time working on things to see what happens with St. Philip Neri RCC and their PhD programme.

6. Keep in touch with friends, make progress with my therapist, relax and play more with my spouse, and increase my intimate activities with her.

7. If I can, read more about Historical people from the 20’s through the 50’s. I’ve read Mao and Stalin and I would like to read more about Lenin, Trotsky, Hirohito, and many others through the historical era. With my grandfather gone, I feel like I’ve missed a lot from the WWII era which I shouldn’t have.

Wow, that seems to be a pretty full list, but I think that I can manage a lot of it on my own. I will find things to do with my time, but I want to make something of this year. After all, I turn 40 later and I would like something to show for these 40 years.
