Lions and tigers and bears, Oh My! Well, I’m in the process of taking VS2008 off of my box so I can put it back on. I have to start working on a web application for form and data updates, it’s going to attach to a MSSQL server and be sitting on an IIS server, so it’s going to be in ASP.NET. The only hitch, if I try to use MVC methods, I don’t have all the ADO.NET pieces I need. Apparently, when you do the upgrade to SP1, it removed them, so now you have to go back, uninstall and reinstall to get them.
Oh Joy, Oh Rapture, be still my beating heart. I don’t really like doing this, but it appears it has to be done.
I recently rewrote the main site in HTML 5. It sucks in IE, but it looks good everywhere else. I wanted to get a jump ahead on it and see how it worked and I thought my personal site would be perfect since I don’t worry if it doesn’t look perfect in a browser. It looks fine anywhere but IE. They just haven’t started including it in IE8 yet or making the doctype compatible with 7. Let’s not talk about 6, 5.5, or 5.
