Very nicely written.

Now, here's where I add on to that thread.

Firstly, the work suggested which inspired some faint-hearted neo-something to start warning about the three-fold law over, was a suggestion I made.

I'm not Wiccan, nor bound by Wiccan law or rule. I'm a Seidhkona, sworn to Freya and to Tyr. Someone doesn't like my brand of saying "Human courts failed, now we do it the OTHER way," they can sit home and hide from the storms and whimper about ethics to someone who thinks there's room for it in this situation. The Aesir and Vanir never once worried about any three-fold law, and I'm not about to start binding them from aiding me or anyone else by expecting them to do so. The world has a place for warriors. We make it possible for those who are so worried about "the right thing" that others get injured.

Where precisely were these concerned parties during the hearings? Where were the castings to aid in the protection of A CHILD? Where was all the worry about what was "right" and what was "wrong" then!?

It was utterly absent.

This child's community has failed him, and his parents, and NOW people want to caution about ethics and right and wrong?

This beautifully "caring" little rainbow child who warns about the 3-fold law has overlooked something that will set us at opposite ends.

THE CHILD HAS BEEN LEFT IN DANGER BY THE HUMAN COURTS.

3-fold laws and Wiccan ethics be damned. About the only time I hear a Wiccan invoke that piece of trash in the first place is when they're doing one of the following three things:

1) Trying to make themselves look good.

2) Trying to convince someone else not to do something that will damage the poor helpless Wiccan.

3) Too damn squeamish to take a stand for something more important than their own personal gains.

I will stand between this child and danger, even if I have to do it myself, and I will do what is needed and the Wiccans had better stay out of my way or they'll be wishing that their 3-fold law had a chance in Hel of preventing me.

Yes, I am rather anti-Wiccan. No, it isn't superiority. It's a matter of desting people who use their "ethics" the same way Christians do... when it's convenient to their own personal causes.

Keep your ethics of convenience. If you truly feel all that worried about the three fold law, I hope you choke on it. The life and mind and spirit of a child was horribly tortured and the torture will continue without direct intervention. If you think you want to apply 3-fold law to that, then consider me the tool that was chosen to return the damages done to the child to the one who caused the damages. It is my family that was injured, and I will not be bound from aiding them in any and every way I am able, and most assuredly I will not be bound by some neo-pagan philosophy that was NEVER written in the books of the gods I follow, even AFTER the Christians got through with them.
