About me

I have many varied talents. I have a B.A. in Lingustics from the University of Kansas and an M.I.S. from the University of Phoenix.

I speak fluent French, which is my preferred language with my wife. I also speak decent Spanish, Russian, and Japanese. I am always looking for others with whom I can hone my skills.

If pressed, I can work my way around Gaelic, Portuguese, Italian, German, and Polish, and I have a goal to learn Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Arabic, and Korean some day.

I used to play baseball in the KCMSBL. I was a catcher and utility player. I was a better manager than player, but I want to get back to playing in the future.

I am a web developer for the Independence School District. I love my job, and the fact I love to code is the reason this site changes so much.

I think it can drive my wife crazy some days, but everyone needs a hobby!

I am also ordained as a minister and have largely worked in various interfaith communities. I have been published as a writer and poet and still work on projects from time to time.

When it comes to theology, I am pretty opinionated, but I do enjoy collegial debate.

Most importantly, I am a husband and a father. I am also a free–thinker and a professional heretic.

I really don’t like being labelled and usually work to defy being labelled.
